Ian
Peill studied under Hank Adlam, an elected member of the Royal Ulster Academy who is well
known for his marine, aviation and landscape paintings.
Working exclusively in oils, Ian has established a name for himself as a painter of skies and cloud effects in landscapes often depicting birds and animals in their naturalistic surroundings.
He has exhibited extensively including four solo exhibitions in Herefordshire and Wales. He has been a regular contributor to Palace Art-fest in support of Hereford Cathedral and Herefordshire Art open studio events.
Commissions undertaken include those from Canada, the United States, Australia, the Czech Republic and Poland in addition to UK collections for which he has travelled extensively.
In recent years his donated paintings have raised considerable amounts for charity including the Countryside Alliance and Help for Heroes.
